1. Introduction

The policy ensures that admissions are conducted in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner, in line with applicable educational standards and regulations.
2. General Admissions Principles
Ashfield College operates an admissions process based on the following principles:

Ashfield College reserves the right to refuse admission to any student who, in their opinion, would not benefit from the educational provisions of the school. It also reserves the right to decide upon special cases, which may arise from time to time. In making decisions about the admission of applicants, Ashfield College will have regard to a number of parameters including class size, staffing provisions, requirements concerning reasonable accommodations, and the health and welfare of students.
Strictly without prejudice to our reservation of the right to refuse admission to any student, Ashfield College is willing to consider an appeal in the interests of fairness or natural justice. Any such appeal will be conducted entirely independently.
This Admissions Policy should be read in conjunction with Ashfield College Code of Conduct and other relevant policies of the school.
3. Application Process
3.1 Submission of Application
Applicants must:

- Short letter of motivation of why the applicant is considering applying to Ashfield College and their ambitions at 3rd level.
3.2 Interview
Applicants will be required to attend an interview (either in person or online) once all necessary documentation has been received.
3.3 Offer of Place
Offers are made based on:
- Suitability for the chosen programme
- Performance at assessment/interview (if applicable)
- Availability of places
- Previous academic track record
4. International Students
International applicants may be required to provide:

5. Special Educational Needs
Ashfield College welcomes applications from students with additional educational needs.
Applicants/guardians are encouraged to:

The College reserves the right to refuse admission where there is evidence that an applicant may not adhere to these expectations and/or has demonstrated previous behavioural issues that may not sit well within the school ethos.
7. Withdrawal and Re-Admission
Students who withdraw must provide formal written notice
Outstanding fees must be settled as per our refund policy.
Re-admission is subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee.
8. Appeals Process
Applicants who wish to appeal an admissions decision may:
- Submit a written appeal within 7 days of the decision
- Provide any additional supporting information
All appeals will be reviewed by College management, and decisions will be communicated in writing.
9. Data Protection
All personal data collected during the admissions process will be processed in accordance with our privacy statement in line with GDPR requirements.

10. Policy Review
This Admissions Policy is reviewed annually and may be updated to reflect changes in legislation or College procedures.
