Taking Grinds in 4th Year or Transition Year allows students to keep up with their academic studies in core subjects.

Students take classes at 5th year level, allowing progression from Junior Cert standards and preparation for the rigours of the Leaving Certificate syllabus.

Leaving Cert Grinds

Grind Subjects & Teachers

FRENCH (H)

Day: Tuesday
Time: 5:45 – 7:00pm
Location: Ashfield College, Dundrum
Students attending this French grind will receive top level tuition from our renowned tutors plus a tailored set of French study notes, exclusive to The Academy of Grinds at Ashfield College.
These notes, along with the accompanying tuition, deliver invaluable support to transition year students progressing from the Junior Certificate to Leaving Certificate level French.
All registered students will receive 75 minutes of tuition per week over 28 weeks. Class sizes are restricted to ensure focused tuition for registered students.
As well as syllabus tuition, teachers will offer guidance on study skills and exam strategy, ensuring that students are well prepared to achieve their potential in the Leaving Certificate exam in 2022.

IRISH (H)

Day: Tuesday
Time: 7.15 – 8.30pm
Location: Ashfield College, Dundrum
Students attending this Irish grind will receive top level tuition from our renowned tutors plus a tailored set of Irish study notes, exclusive to The Academy of Grinds at Ashfield College.

MATHS (H)

With an extra 25 extra CAO points on offer for Higher Level Maths students scoring above a H6 Grade it is vital for students to succeed in Maths.
Our Maths (H) grind classes offer students exceptional Maths tuition, ensuring an understanding of theories, concepts and practical applications of Mathematics for students taking the Leaving Certificate exam in June 2022.
Our top teachers deliver classes that enable a firm understanding of theories, concepts and practical applications relevant to the exam. this delivers invaluable support to transition year students progressing from Junior Certificate to Leaving Certificate level Maths.
All registered students will receive 75 minutes of tuition per week over 28 weeks and a copy of our renowned Ashfield College notes. Class sizes are restricted to ensure focused tuition for registered students.

  • Pay full amount due upfront before commencement of classes in September 2019

  • Pay a deposit of €150 to secure your place
  • The remainder of the fee must be paid in full before the first class in September 2019

Pay by three instalments

  • Only available as an option for two or more subjects
  • An administration fee of 10% of total fee will be applied
  • One third of the total fee is due on booking
  • One third on the 5th of November 2019 and one third on the 18th February 2020
  • For late joiners, all Grinds fees must be paid in full by 1 April 2020

Pay monthly

  • Only available for two or more subjects
  • Pay deposit of €150 to secure your place
  • An administration fee of 10% will be applied to total amount
  • Set up a Direct Debit and divide your payment monthly (7 payment months from September)
  • Final Direct Debit must be received before the 1st of April 2020
